Making  a documentary about the project  – photo images of people

Cinema:

• “Young in Europe: Sibiu meets Deventer” – The Documentary
    Rowdy Pelgrim, Filmhuis De Keizer & Astra Film Sibiu

Rowdy Pelgrim is a talented young Dutch filmmaker/actor. He graduated in ”Communication and Multimedia Design” in 2006 at the Noordelijke Hogeschool Leeuwarden in the Netherlands, specialised in the direction of film/video. He already produced several documentaries and (short) films, such as a short movie “Huil maar” (Just cry). Together with a talented young Romanian filmmaker he will make in co-production the video-documentary about “Young in Europe: Sibiu meets Deventer” 9-21 August 2007 in Sibiu. The documentary will comprise and picture the differences in behaviour and culture of the Romanian participants (filmed by the Dutch filmmaker) and of the Dutch participants (filmed by the Romanian filmmaker). This documentary will be broadcast afterwards in both the cities of Deventer and Sibiu, but also elsewhere.
Second part in this field will be Dutch multi-cultural films for young people on cinema locations in Sibiu.
Third part will be documentary films at Astra Film Studio.

Rob Philip (1969) has organised several exhibitions in The Netherlands and abroad. He tries to expose not only the reality, but also his vision of the human condition. His work usually consists of a mixture of portrait and documentary photographs. He will have his exhibition in Sibiu during the project period in Brukenthal Galery, Strada Tribunei from 17-31 August 2007.
